It's Paradise in the middle
of the city! What a surprise it was to visit The
El Dorado Park Nature Center. Beautiful ponds, streams, water turtles, tree covered pathways, plenty of resting benches, and of course, tons of birds! In the
Spring, there are wild flowers and butterflies everywhere. They have multiple exhibits inside the nature
center and some hands-on stuff for the kids. Be on the look out as you crossover streams, on one of
the many wooden bridges, to be welcomed by a friendly Mallard Duck. (look for him below)
You can walk the one or two mile dirt trail or you can take
the wheelchair-stroller friendly (1/4 mile) concrete pathway. Wear comfortable clothes and plan to spend the day. No matter which trails you take, it's a nature treat you won't want to miss! You'll forget that you are in the middle of the city....... |
